Northeast Florida Coalition for Access to Healthcare Quarterly Meeting

The Northeast Florida Coalition for Access to Healthcare is the re-imagined Uninsured Workgroup. The overarching goal of the coalition is to ensure that local providers and other healthcare partners work collaboratively and identify available local resources to address issues related to access to healthcare.

Practitioners, community workers, and providers interested in ensuring access to quality healthcare in Baker, Clay, Duval, Flagler, Nassau, St. Johns, and Volusia counties are invited to attend.

🟢 STATE UPDATE

Changes to Statewide Medicaid Managed Care Program

Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA)

Ms. Hull will present on the upcoming launch of newly procured Statewide Medicaid Managed Care (SMMC) plans. These updated plans will offer improved access to medical, behavioral health, long-term care, and specialty services, along with expanded benefits such as better care coordination, enhanced case management, and increased access to telemedicine. Additionally, the new contracts introduce key improvements for both recipients and providers, including streamlined enrollment, expanded provider access, value-based provider reimbursements, and faster claims processing, ensuring a smoother and more efficient Medicaid experience for all.

Pam Hull began with the Agency in 2006. She has served in various roles in the past 18 years and is currently the Assistant Deputy Secretary for Medicaid Operations. She is responsible for the Bureaus of Medicaid Plan Management Operations which is responsible for the contract management and primary oversight over Medicaid’s Statewide Medicaid Managed Care (SMMC) program; the Bureau of Recipient and Provider Assistance and Enrollment Broker Operations which serve as a primary point of contact for enrolled Medicaid providers, Medicaid recipients, and members of the community with questions and concerns about Medicaid while supporting recipients and providers through education, information, and problem resolution as well as provide outreach, enrollment assistance, and help in navigating Medicaid; and Third-party Liability Unit which is responsible for identifying, managing, and recovering funds for claims paid by Florida Medicaid which a third party was liable.

Ms. Collins will present the February 2025 updates from the Covering Florida Navigator Program, including a recap of Open Enrollment data.

Glenda Collins is a Navigator Program Coordinator at HPCNEF. Glenda has diverse experience across construction, restaurants, and finance, including small business ownership. Before joining HPCNEF, Glenda was the project manager for the senior nutrition program in Duval County.
