President & CEOSusan Grich

Raised in Jacksonville, FL, Susan earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the College of Charleston, SC. She assumed leadership for HPCNEF after serving as Chief Administrative and Chief Financial Officer. Susan brings over four decades of business and financial expertise to the organization from both the non-profit and for-profit sectors. Susan is devoted to her family and in her free time, she enjoys competitive sailing.

Director, Finance & Human ResourcesKathy Harrison

Originally from Virginia, Kathy received her BBA in Accounting from James Madison University. She brings with her over 20 years of financial and operational knowledge. Having worked with both for-profit and not-profit firms in financial management roles, she brings the ability to refine financial and HR operations to support HPCNEF’s efficiency to serve the Northeast Florida community. As a Jeep and beach enthusiast, Kathy is pleased to call Florida home for over 20 years.

Director, Grants & ContractsCharles Roy

Originally from Birmingham, AL, Charles received his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology at Auburn University. From a clinician perspective to an administrative perspective, Charles has grown a strong sense of passion working for and with community health services. Charles’s role is to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency continues in improving health outcomes by serving as the source for health information, analysis, and planning in Northeast Florida.

Projects & HR CoordinatorCori Aguilar

Cori’s responsibilities as HR representative for HPCNEF includes: planning, developing, and guiding the administration of all HR functions; implementing and analyzing employee satisfaction surveys and developing and implementing performance appraisals. Cori has experience in several aspects of human resources including onboarding, offboarding, and benefits. Additionally, Cori ensures that policies and procedures are properly applied per federal and local laws. Prior to joining HPCNEF in 2017, Cori worked in administration in the insurance industry for 20 years. She is also a certified Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt.

Program ManagerWendy Anthony

Originally from Oswego, NY, Wendy earned her degree in Information Technology from the Air Force and her Business Administration from Saint Leo University. Wendy is an Air Force Veteran of over 20 years and served as Command Control Superintendent. She also has 20 years of management and administrative experience and received Six Sigma and Microsoft Certified System Engineer certificates. Wendy has lived in Florida since 2007 and enjoys kayaking and gardening.

Program & Social Media ManagerTisha Antique, BSN, RN

Born in Cincinnati, OH, and raised in Jacksonville, FL, Tisha earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing with a minor in Psychology at the University of North Florida. Prior to joining the HPCNEF team in 2022, she was a bedside nurse on a progressive cardiac unit at Baptist Health and then a client service specialist in commercial retail real estate. Her passion is visual art—with photography and gouache paint being her favorite media.

Marketplace NavigatorCathy Barta

Cathy and her family relocated from California to Jacksonville, FL, in 2018. She joined the HPCNEF team in 2024. In addition to raising four children, Cathy is currently a foster parent. On their family’s large property, Cathy has established a hobby farm with dogs, cats, chickens, ducks, and goats. One day, she would like to have a rescue for senior animals.

Marketplace NavigatorDebbie Campbell

Debbie is from Logansport, IN, and studied at Vincennes University. Prior to working at HPCNEF, she worked in finance in her home state for 14 years. She has been involved in customer service in some way for most of her career. Debbie has been married for 30 years. She has one daughter and four grandchildren. Debbie enjoys her semi-retirement by spending time with her family and their new Florida friends. She has lived in Florida for 10 years.

Marketplace NavigatorJennifer Campbell

Originally from the Philadelphia area, she is an entrepreneur with over 30 years’ experience in the sales and marketing as well as streamlined operations management in the small business manufacturing sector. She also designed and launched a line of patented cooling wraps for both horses and riders/trainers/enthusiasts called Equi Cool Down. Jennifer brings her superior interpersonal skills and collaboration experience to HPCNEF and now enjoys working to help consumers one-on-one. In her spare time, Jennifer works as a disability advocate for young adults including her son, Zachary, and enjoys spending time outdoors with friends and family.

Program DirectorJoyce Case

Originally from Texas, Joyce earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Biology from the University of Texas. She has been with HPCNEF since 2001. Joyce has over 40 years of experience in healthcare management and an extensive background in managed care, healthcare marketing, and contract management.

Marketplace NavigatorGlenda Collins

Born in Texas and raised in Jacksonville, Glenda earned her Bachelor of Architecture and BFA in Interior Design from the Savannah College of Art and Design. She has specialized in a range of industries from construction and restaurants to finance and even owned her own small business. Prior to joining HPCNEF in 2021, Glenda spent 6 years in the nonprofit sector. She previously served as the project manager for the senior nutrition program for Duval County. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her two daughters while hiking outdoors, traveling, and attending music festivals.

AccountantJayiska Correa

A native of San Juan, PR, Jayiska received her Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico. She worked for 10 years as an auditor at Tanner & Associates CPA, LLC, with Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and Rural Development (RD) projects, then for 7 years in the accounting department of a private school, and 3 years in the insurance industry. Jayiska’s experience includes managing accounts receivable, compliance, inventory verification, fixed asset management, corporate financial statements, bookkeeping, accounts reconciliation, and digital record keeping. Jayiska loves the beach, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends. She moved to Florida and joined the HPCNEF team in 2022.

Marketplace NavigatorBerenice Crisanto

Berenice, a Deland local, studied business administration at Florida Technical College. She has experience working with vulnerable rural populations from her time at the Farmworker Association of Florida in Pierson, FL. Berenice now channels her extensive people skills and compassion into her role as a Navigator at HPCNEF. Fluent in both English and Spanish, she goes above and beyond to help others find affordable health care insurance.

Grants AdministratorFlora Davis

Originally from DeLand, FL, Flora earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Sociology minor from Stetson University. Flora has been with HPCNEF since 2006. Flora has over 15 years of housing and medical case management experience with several special target populations. She earned her certification in contract management with the State of Florida’s Department of Health, as well as CORE and Advanced CORE housing curriculum with the State of Florida’s Department of Finance. She is also a certified White Belt in Six Sigma.

Data Research AnalystJulia DeAngelo

Originally from Florida, Julia was a monitor technician at AdventHealth Fish Memorial in Orange City prior to joining HPCNEF in 2021. Julia has extensive experience in performing research, data collection, and database management. A detail-oriented, hands-on approach to solving problems and being a team player are important to Julia. In her spare time, she volunteers with a disaster relief committee to maintain an airport and seaport catalog in the Caribbean.

Marketplace NavigatorEsperanza Gutierrez

A DeLand native, Esperanza is one of HPCNEF’s ACA Marketplace Navigators. Prior to joining the team in 2022, Esperanza worked in telecommunications. She brings over fifteen years of customer service experience to her position as a Navigator. Esperanza loves being outdoors in Florida nature and enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

AccountantIrma Herrera

Originally from El Salvador, Irma received her Bachelor of Arts in ESL Education from Universidad Technológica, San Salvador. She brings over 25 years in accounting and over 10 years in customer service working for the US government as well as in the profit and non-profit sectors. Irma earned a Special US Visa after 23 years working for the US Government in El Salvador. She immigrated with her family to the US in 2007 and has lived in Florida for 15 years.

AccountantMarie Jackson Kuhn

Marie, originally from Pasadena, CA, relocated to Florida four years ago. She holds a Bachelor’s degree with a minor in Accounting and a Master of Business Administration. With 15 years of experience in the higher education industry, Marie brings extensive multitasking skills to her role at HPCNEF since joining in 2024. She loves exploring different beach locations in her free time.

Originally from Indiana, Theresa graduated from Vincennes University, Jasper Campus. She moved to Florida in 2013. Prior to joining HPCNEF in 2019, Theresa worked for Mental Health America in Daytona Beach. Her bucket list trip would be snorkeling in Australia.

Marketplace NavigatorAmanda Mernagh

Amanda is a Florida native, originally from Jacksonville. As an excellent communicator, she brings over 8 years of HR experience to the Navigator team. She originally joined HPCNEF back in 2015 and then rejoined in 2022 to continue helping consumers find affordable health insurance. Amanda is a dedicated homeschool and dance mom to three children. She loves nature and enjoys hiking in the mountains and exploring the many natural springs in Florida.

Health PlannerKim Millrood, MSH

Originally from Ohio, Kim earned her Master of Health Science from the University of North Florida and her Bachelor of Science in Medical Dietetics from The Ohio State University. Kim has over 12 years of health planning experience. Prior to joining HPCNEF in 2017, Kim was a registered dietitian. Kim has lived in Northeast Florida for 25 years and enjoys spending time with her family.

Marketplace NavigatorSusan Park

Originally from North Carolina, Susan has also lived in Seattle, WA. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Environmental Design in Architecture from North Carolina State University. Susan comes from a diverse creative background and has worked in marketing, graphic design, newspapers, art instruction, and festival event promotion. She joined HPCNEF in 2016. Susan draws on her experiences as a small business owner in order to help the self-employed secure their own healthcare coverage. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, writing, art, music, and the outdoors. She is often out and about in the local entertainment scene, occasionally performing on stage, singing, or playing drums. She is currently learning to play guitar.

Program ManagerErin Patrick

Originally from New York, Erin attended Nazareth College of Rochester. Prior to joining HPCNEF, she led a non-profit organization for nearly 5 years. Erin moved to Florida in the summer of 2021. She has played and studied music her entire life.

Program ManagerCary Quinones

Originally from Rio Grande, PR, Cary earned her Associate’s degree in Business Management and Marketing from National University College. Cary has over two decades of management and administrative experience. She has worked in the non-profit sector for over seven years, specializing in primary healthcare and behavioral health fields. Related to growth of non-profit agencies, she has supported and identified efforts of other health care groups, community coalitions, community partners, and other community-focused organizations. Cary enjoys going swimming at the local natural springs, kayaking, snorkeling, camping and spending time with her family, three children, and pets.

Health PlannerDaniel Schmidt, MPH, CPH

Originally from Oviedo, FL, Daniel earned his Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology from the University of North Florida and his Master of Public Health degree from the University of Florida. He is also Certified in Public Health by the National Board of Public Health Examiners. Daniel participates in different types of projects at HPCNEF including data management, community assessments, and health planning and evaluation. Daniel is particularly interested in the public health areas of health equity, mental health, chronic disease prevention, and social justice. Daniel also enjoys spending time with his family and friends, being active in his church, outdoor recreation, and a good cup of coffee.

Health PlannerAnnie Wang, MPH

A native of Fort Myers, FL, Annie is a dedicated Health Planner who joined HPCNEF in 2024. She holds a Bachelor of Public Health with a minor in Health Disparities in Society, and a Master of Public Health with a concentration in Social and Behavioral Sciences from the University of Florida. Annie has interned for community-based organizations such as Tobacco Free Alachua and Partnership for Strong Families, gaining experience in social media management, creating health education materials, and working with underserved communities. In her free time, Annie enjoys crocheting and playing pickleball.

Program ManagerMaria Williams

Born in Madrid, Spain, and raised in Elizabeth, NJ, Maria earned her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a minor in Spanish. Before joining HPCNEF, she was the Director of Child Welfare for a non-profit for 19 years and a Certified Contract Manager with the Florida Department of Health. She has called Florida home for 21 years and is an avid camper and traveler with her family.

Health PlannerLillian Zeman, MPH

A Florida native, Lillian earned her Bachelor of Public Health as well as her Master of Public Health in Epidemiology from the University of Florida. Lillian has experience in program planning and program implementation and is proficient in data analysis. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends and watching collegiate gymnastics, football, and hockey.

Teina has over 20 years of experience in bringing together diverse communities of people, non-profit organizations, businesses, healthcare providers, and governmental agencies to address social determinants of health and improve health outcomes. Teina earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Prior to joining HPCNEF, she successfully developed and led innovative projects in Alachua and Broward counties in Florida. She is a strong proponent of addressing policies, systems, and environmental changes to foster health literacy, cultural competency and equity to improve the health and wellbeing of individuals and their communities.
