Northeast Florida Coalition for Access to Healthcare Quarterly Meeting

The Northeast Florida Coalition for Access to Healthcare is the re-imagined Uninsured Workgroup. The overarching goal of the coalition is to ensure that local providers and other healthcare partners work collaboratively and identify available local resources to address issues related to access to healthcare.

Practitioners, community workers, and providers interested in ensuring access to quality healthcare in Baker, Clay, Duval, Flagler, Nassau, St. Johns, and Volusia counties are invited to attend.

Advancing Health Equity for Adults with IDD in Florida
Dr. Geraldine Edrei & Jennifer Campbell
IDD United

This presentation introduces IDD United, a Florida-based task force focused on enhancing healthcare for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). The initiative unites experts and stakeholders from fields like education, insurance, and legislation to build a network of integrated, accessible health resources. Through collaboration, the goal is to ensure that adults with IDD across Florida receive compassionate, equitable, and effective care. Key discussion points include the importance of an integrated system, specialized education and training, and legislative updates in support of value-based care.

Dr. Geraldine Edrei headshotDr. Geraldine Edrei, DDS, MPH, is a dedicated dentist and public health advocate with over 20 years of experience in national and international health initiatives. She has presented on community water fluoridation in Florida and works with the Hispanic Dental Association to support advocacy and foreign-trained dentists. Since 2021, Dr. Edrei has led an oral health coalition in Miami through Florida Voices for Health. Her research includes oral cancer and rural health access, and she serves as Florida’s ambassador for the National Network for Oral Health Access. A graduate of Universidad Central de Venezuela, Dr. Edrei earned her MPH with top honors from A.T. Still University in 2020.

Jennifer Campbell is a seasoned professional with over 30 years of experience in sales, marketing, and entrepreneurship. Originally from Philadelphia, her career spans strategic planning, branding, and P&L management. Jennifer also serves as a licensed Covering Florida Program Navigator with the Health Planning Council of Northeast Florida, helping individuals navigate healthcare options. As a disability advocate for young adults, including her son Zachary, Jennifer is committed to supporting individuals with disabilities and their families.

Cary serves as the Program Manager for the Covering Florida Navigator Program at HPCNEF, overseeing a dedicated team of ten navigators covering our seven-county service area. With prior roles as an ACA Marketplace Certified Application Counselor and supervisor at a non-profit federally qualified health center, Cary brings a wealth of experience and a steadfast dedication to crafting effective healthcare solutions.
