Individuals on Medicaid have not had to renew since 2020. Renewals will begin in March 2023. This means Florida will use the information they have to decide if you or your family member(s) still qualify for Medicaid or KidCare coverage. If the state needs more information from you to make a coverage decision, they’ll send you a renewal letter in the mail.
Here are some things you can do to prepare:
- Log on: Visit myflorida.com/accessflorida and log in or create an account. Check if you have a renewal date coming up. Do not try to renew early!
- Update info: Make sure your contact information is up to date with DCF. You can use the DCF Virtual Assistant to update your mailing address, phone number, email, and more.
- Check your mail: Look for an envelope with a yellow stripe. Read the letter carefully. Follow any instructions in the letter. You may need to fill out a form and return it right away.
If you no longer qualify for Medicaid or KidCare, you may be able to buy a health plan through the Health Insurance Marketplace® and get financial help to pay for it.
If you need help or have questions, contact your local HPCNEF Navigators for free!
- Schedule an appointment online in Baker, Clay, Duval, Flagler, Nassau, St. Johns, and Volusia counties.
