SUMMARY:Northeast Florida Coalition for Access to Healthcare Quarterly Meeting
DESCRIPTION:The Northeast Florida Coalition for Access to Healthcare is the re-imagined Uninsured Workgroup. The overarching goal of the coalition is to ensure that local providers and other healthcare partners work collaboratively and identify available local resources to address issues related to access to healthcare.\n\n💻 Zoom Info\nMeeting ID: 873 6802 0462\nPasscode: 466163 \n🟢 REGIONAL UPDATE\nJoyce Case\, Program Director\nHealth Planning Council of Northeast Florida\nThe Family Glitch is fixed! An ACA update on the rule that has been 10 years in the making! Learn how it may impact you\, your family\, your coworkers and how the Health Planning Council’s Navigators can help. \n🟢 GUEST SPEAKER\nTricia Brooks\, Research Professor\nGeorgetown University Center for Children and Families\nWhat does the Unwinding of the Medicaid Continuous Coverage Protection Mean for Florida?\nWhen the COVID-19 public health emergency (PHE) was declared\, Congress acted quickly to provide fiscal relief to the states and ensure that Medicaid enrollees did not lose coverage during the PHE. When the coverage protection is lifted\, an estimated 15 Medicaid enrollees will lose their health insurance — nearly half of which will likely remain eligible but be disenrolled for procedural (non-eligibility) reasons. This doesn’t have to happen if states takes the time to get it right and work in partnership with health care stakeholders to avoid coverage losses. This session will explore options states have to smooth the transition and opportunities for health care partners to engage with the state in planning\, implementation\, and monitoring the unwinding. \nPractitioners\, community workers\, and providers interested in ensuring access to quality healthcare in Baker\, Clay\, Duval\, Flagler\, Nassau\, St. Johns\, and Volusia Counties are invited to attend. \nEvent on Facebook \nEvent on LinkedIn \nJoin the NEFCAH Email List! \n❓ If you have questions\, please contact Joyce Case\, Program Director\, at Jo********@****EF.org. \n  \n\nThe project described was supported by Funding Opportunity Number NAVCA210430-01-00 from the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services\, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
