NEW COMMUNITY HEALTH DATA AND RESEARCH MANAGER
Jacksonville, Fla., January 13, 2016 — The Health Planning Council of Northeast Florida is pleased to announce the hiring of Caitlin Murphy.
Murphy joins the Health Planning Council of Northeast Florida as the new Community Health Data and Research Manager.
Her credentials include a Master’s in Public Health (MPH), as well as, a Master’s in Urban Planning (MSP) both from Florida State University.
In her new role as the Community Health Data and Research Manager, Murphy will engage in planning, community and population-based research, data collection and analysis, map making with ArcGIS software, resource development and grants, report writing, program evaluation, and co-managing projects. She will promote individual and population health through community health planning initiatives, such as community health assessment and community health improvement planning cycles, in collaboration with community stakeholders, elected officials, and community partners. Additionally, she will collect, analyze and develop statistical and quantitative reports for various stakeholders including the State of Florida, various agencies, healthcare facilities and other clients

Previously, Murphy was employed by the United States Forest Service and the Florida Department of Health-Leon County. Her duties included: environmental planning and trail assessments, health impact assessments, collaborating with community partners on public health issues, infectious disease case management, data analysis and presentation, coaching partners on the community health planning process, and developing strategic objectives with action plans.
